Pokemon Vanguard is a GBA ROM that was developed/Created by TenmaRH (Original Creator). The current version of the ROM is ‘ Alpha 0.7’ which is based on Pokemon Emerald. The ROM was last updated on ‘December 28, 2023’ and the new version is yet to be rolled out.

Plot

Meet Pokemon Quetzal Multiplayer, a fun multiplayer version of the classic Pokemon Emerald game. You get to pick from 11 different starters and challenge your friends to Pokemon battles!

This special GameBoy Advance Edition of Pokemon Quetzal Multiplayer takes the awesome parts of the original Pokemon Emerald and adds cool new multiplayer features. No more solo adventures – now you can explore the Hoenn region with up to three friends, battling, trading, and making memories together.

“Pokemon Quetzal Multiplayer offers support for 1 to 4 players, both locally and online.

• Choose from a whopping 44 different starters.
• Decide how many Pokemon accompany you (from 0 to 6).
• Play as one of 6 characters: Brendan, May, Gold, Red, Ash, and Gloria. Version 0.6.4 introduces 7 more characters (Elio, Lucas, Rei, Steven, Rocket Grunt, Magma Grunt & Victor).

Engage in single, double, and multiple battles against players worldwide.

• Trade Pokemon with other players online.
• Team up in co-op mode to battle other trainers in double battles.
• Watch games in spectator mode and even join the fight alongside others.

Enjoy the presence of all Gen 1-3 Pokemon without needing to trade from other games, including Legendary Pokemon.

Conveniently use HMs outside of battles without the need to teach them.

Note:

• The legendaries are HIDDEN, once you find, defeat, or capture them they will appear in the Snorlax cave.
• To go from the old version to this open PC and save the game (menu start) in the Pokemon center.
• Chase and Elaine appear as playable characters but cannot be selected (bad animations).
• There are new legendaries hidden in the game, join our Discord, and if you find the most legends a mod will give you a prize.
• The game may have a big bug so make backup copies.

Pokemon Quetzal v0.6.9

• Scheduled transformation from fused necrozma to ultra necrozma
• All legendaries (1 gen to 8 gen) can now be captured in normal mode (except Arceus)
• New HIDDEN legendaries in the game:
  • Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus (still can’t transform)
  • Glastrier, Spectrier, Calyrex (still can’t get the item to fuse them in normal mode)
  • Regieleki, Regidrago and Regigigas

Changes

• Some hidden legendary Pokemon changed their location and requirements

Bug Fixes

• When merging Pokemon they didn’t forget characteristic attacks (calyrex is still bad)
• Fused Necrozma did not learn signature attacks
• Move Z from Ultra Necrozma froze your game
