Pokemon Vanguard is an RPGXP FanGame that was developed/Created by Ayrei (Original Creator). The current version of the ROM is ‘v2.3.16’ which is based on Pokemon FireRed. The ROM was last updated on ‘May 29, 2023’ and the new version is yet to be rolled out.

Plot

The journey of a Pokémon trainer begins with leaving home at a tender age, embarking on a quest to amass gym badges and Pokémon, ultimately culminating in challenging the prestigious Pokémon League. This dream was once easily attainable for anyone.

However, that was more than half a century ago.

Now, welcome to Ayrei—the trailblazer into the Modern era. In this contemporary age, Pokémon trainers bear the responsibility of safeguarding the lives of both innocent humans and Pokémon worldwide. Becoming a Pokémon trainer necessitates proper training and licensing, and adherence to the modern laws and principles governing the relationship between humans and Pokémon. Standing in contrast are the Renegades, individuals who lay claim to the title of Pokémon Trainer while defying these modern norms.

You awaken in this evolved region devoid of memories or Pokémon, armed only with a name. With nowhere else to turn, you receive an invitation to Vanguard Academy, a specialized institution with a singular purpose: to mold the next generation of Pokémon Trainers.

• Players receive it either after selecting their starter or by entering Vanguard Academy Entrance or Koriko outside maps.

• Multiple important characters have undergone visual updates and redesigns for a refreshed appearance.
• Fifteen regional variants have received significant visual enhancements.

1. Increased Encounter Rates:

• Encounter rates have been significantly boosted across the board.
• Turning off the Infinite Repel ensures a quicker Pokémon hunting experience.

1. Improved Battle AI:

• Battle AI for enemy trainers has been overhauled to eliminate the selection of random moves, providing a more strategic and challenging experience.

Dens:

• Exploration and Rewards:
• Dens offer a new side content option, providing an engaging 2v1 battle against 1-3 strong Pokémon.
• Completing a Den rewards players with Trainer Points, Trainer Score, and the level 5 version of the Pokémon fought, or a choice between them.
